Architectural qualifications accredited by the Board are full-time courses and examinations comprising of five academic years in residence with one year practical training in between the pre-professional and professional programme.

Policy of the Board concerning waiver of the first two years of study in the degree course for polytechnic graduates with the Diploma in architectural Technology.

Singapore Polytechnic graduates with a Diploma in Architectural Technology and who have been granted waiver of the first two years of study in the degree course overseas must take note that it is the Board's policy that there must be at least 3 years of on-campus full-time study, including the final year of the first degree of Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) or its equivalent in order that the final degree of Bachelor of Architecture is recognised by the Board for registration.

Local School

The programme of Bachelor of Architecture or professional Master of Architecture program from the National University of Singapore or the University of Singapore, is recognised by the Board for purpose of registration.

Overseas Schools

The Board also adopts a list of programmes in architecture accredited and gazetted under section 15(1)(b) of the Architects Act. The list of the schools of architecture overseas with courses recognised for registration is detailed below.
