BOA Pin design competition
28 October 2026
To all registered architects
BOA PIN DESIGN COMPETITION
The Board of Architects (BOA) is pleased to invite the architectural community to take part in the BOA Lapel Pin Design Competition.
In 2027, BOA will mark its 100th Anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, BOA will be introducing an official lapel pin for Singapore’s architectural profession. The pin is intended as an enduring professional insignia, symbolising registration with BOA and a shared identity among Singapore’s registered architects.
Who can participate
The competition is open to:
all registered architects in Singapore, whether or not they hold a practising certificate; and
students from recognised architectural programmes at NUS, SUTD and the polytechnics.
The Design Challenge
Participants are invited to design a distinctive, elegant and timeless lapel pin that reflects professional registration, architectural practice and the shared identity of Singapore’s architectural profession.
While the pin will be launched as part of BOA’s 100th Anniversary in 2027, the design should have an enduring identity beyond the centenary year and remain appropriate for future generations of architects.
