BOA Presentation Ceremony and Seminar 2026
28 September 2026
The BOA Presentation Ceremony and Seminar 2026 on 28 October 2026 explores how thoughtful, resource-conscious design can create purposeful and enduring architecture under the theme "Designing with Less – Rethinking How We Make Architecture".
DESIGNING WITH LESS – RETHINKING HOW WE MAKE ARCHITECTURE
The Board of Architects warmly invites members of the architectural fraternity to the BOA Presentation Ceremony and Seminar 2026, a key annual gathering that celebrates the profession, welcomes our newly registered architects into the fraternity, while engaging with the pressing questions that shape architectural practice today.
How can we create more with less - less space, material, energy or intervention?
This year’s seminar theme “Designing with Less – Rethinking How We Make Architecture”, explores how thoughtful design can make the most of what is available. Through selected projects, three design-led Singapore practices will share how they respond to space, materials, climate, nature and existing conditions to create architecture that is purposeful, meaningful and enduring.
The seminar brings together Ar. Alan Tay, Founding Principal and Managing Partner of Formwerkz Architects, whose innovative, biophilic and human-centric approach explores the relationship between people and nature; Ar. Evy Sutjahjo, Co-founder of ZIVY Architects, whose work focuses on creating environments that promote well-being, lasting comfort and positive impact; and Ar. Iskandar Idris, Director of Super Assembly, whose practice considers architecture through atmosphere, place and the relationship between people and their surroundings.
Together, their perspectives invite us to reconsider how we design, build and inhabit our spaces and how doing more with less can open up new possibilities for architecture.
As places for the seminar are limited, interested participants are advised to submit their applications by 16 October 2026. Please note that the application may close earlier without prior notice once all available places have been filled.
